Commuter Services partners with the Minnesota Department of Transportation in another webinar Detours Ahead: I-494 Construction Updates. Learn what has been done, and what is yet to come, in the 2024 construction season. MnDOT I-494 Edina, Bloomington, Richfield Project Manager Tim Clyne will give a recap of the major improvements started, and in some cases completed, during the past six months of construction, including: |
• I-494 / I-35W Roadway & Bridge Construction With construction for this project expected to continue through 2026, Clyne will also preview the next two seasons, and provide a high-level update on the neighboring I-494 Bridge over Minnesota River project, from Pilot Knob in Eagan west to near the MSP International Airport. Commuter Services will follow with a brief look at the free resources available to help ease the impacts of traveling in construction traffic. This webinar will be recorded for on-demand viewing. A link to the recording and slide presentation will be made available to everyone who registers for this webinar. |

METRO Orange Line Connecting Bus Study Details |

February 2021Watch the METRO Orange Line Connecting Bus Study Details highlighting proposed changes and improvements associated with this exciting new commute option scheduled to begin service late 2021. The Orange Line will service the I-35W corridor from Burnsville, through Bloomington and Richfield, and on into south Minneapolis. When complete, it will replace the existing bus routes 535 and 597. Metro Transit Senior Planner John Dillery and Outreach Coordinator Juan Rangel highlight the project’s Concept Plan, which includes proposed changes to existing routes and identifies improved connections and transit service. The Concept Plan proposes changes to bus routes in Richfield, Bloomington and Edina, including routes 515, 535, 537, 538, 539, 540, 542, 553 and 597.
