494 Commuter Services is the outreach arm of the I-494 Corridor Commission. 494 Commuter Services is one of five Transportation Management Organizations (TMOs) in the Twin Cities metropolitan region. The staff work closely with employers and managers of multi-tenant office buildings to promote alternatives to the drive-alone commute.

494 Commuter Services' mission is to mitigate traffic congestion and air pollution along the I-494 corridor by encouraging the use of alternative transportation options including bicycling, walking, carpooling, vanpooling and - where possible - telecommuting. Currently 494 Commuter Services has two full-time staff who reach out to businesses in our member cities: Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Edina, Minnetonka, Plymouth, and Richfield.
